Dr. Michael Schaplowsky, ND Integrative & Complementary Oncology With nearly four decades of healthcare experience, Dr. Michael Schaplowsky has dedicated his career to helping patients achieve better health through evidence-informed, integrative medicine. Since beginning his healthcare career in 1986 as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, he has maintained a particular interest in hematology and leukemia, providing him with a strong scientific foundation that continues to inform his clinical practice today. For almost twenty years, complementary oncology has been one of Dr. Schaplowsky's primary clinical focuses. Following his naturopathic medical training, he completed not one, but two advanced oncology internships under the mentorship of Dr. Alison McAllister, ND, the first naturopathic resident at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. This advanced training provided extensive experience in integrating naturopathic therapies alongside conventional cancer treatment. Dr. Schaplowsky's approach is grounded in established integrative oncology protocols developed by the University of Kansas Medical Center and the Riordan Clinic, internationally recognized pioneers in evidence-based complementary cancer care for more than three decades. As one of the early members of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, he remains committed to ongoing education and stays current with the latest research and advances in integrative supportive oncology. Working collaboratively with patients and their oncology teams, Dr. Schaplowsky develops individualized treatment plans designed to support conventional cancer therapies, enhance quality of life, minimize treatment-related side effects, and promote overall wellness. His comprehensive approach incorporates intravenous nutrient therapy, targeted nutritional supplementation, lifestyle medicine, and other evidence-informed naturopathic therapies tailored to each patient's unique needs.
